I have always been a fan of Indian food, be it South or North. My late Pa, he's a fan of keema and he always tapao back chapatis and keema from this famous coffee shop stall at Norris Road. I replicate this recipe years ago to my taste. So this is a simple recipe without any complications. Beef, pork or chicken can be used for this Keema recipe.
150 gms of mince mutton
2 potatoes, diced
1 onion , diced
100 gms of green peas
4 tbsp meat curry powder ( mixed with water to a paste)
2 red chillies
4 cloves garlics
4 slices ginger
1 and a half tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
Blend together the chillies, garlics, ginger and onion. Leave aside.
Heat up 2 tbsp oil in a pan and fry the onion till translucent.
Add in the chilli mixture and fry till fragrant.
Pour in the curry paste and continue to fry till oil seeps thru.
Add in the mince meat and stir to combine together with the diced potatoes.
Cook for 10 mins till potatoes are soft then add in green peas.
Add some water if you want more gravy.
Bring to a boil and turn off fire.
Serve with homemade butter naan.
